MARINO CURNIS - BOOKS

Journal of "Eurasia Pedibus Calcantibus", travel on foot from Italy to Japan and back by Marino Curnis. The travel was to go on 5 years through 26 nations and along about 40.500 kilometres, following the steps of Aleksander the Great, Marco Polo, on the mythical Silk Road. Unfortunately bureaucracy, the only negative point of this experience, didn't allow Marino Curnis continue the travel, not granting special (in lenght) visas useful to move on foot, even ignoring the message of peace and universal brotherhood inherent this travel. That's why "Eurasia Pedibus Calcantibus" became "Il Sogno Calpestato", stopping in Iran after 13 months of walk, through 9 nations (Italy, Austria, Hungary, Roumania, Bulgaria, Turkey, Moldavia, Ukraine, Iran) and along 6000 kilometres.

During one of his travels around the world, Marino Curnis, finds out in a little bookshop in Narayanghar, a small town in Nepal, an old manuscript of the 1800, written in nepali language. Enchanted by some unknown types, he decides to buy and translates it thanks to the help of his nepali friend Sujan (from Pathiani Town, nearby the Royal National Park of Chitwan), teacher in the little village of Jagatpur. What the two friends will find out by the text, is the story of an exciting travel which lead them by the hand to the discovery of an Unkown World, that will offer them a large number of new stimuli. To them, but even to the readers of “Esploratore Involontario” (Unintentional Explorer), because what you'll read is the faithful translation of that old manuscript.
